Week 9 - All about Blogging :))

What is BLOG??
"Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog," which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects. On a blog, the content consists of articles (also sometimes called "Posts" or "Entries") that the author(s) writes. Yes, some blogs have multiple authors, each writing his/her own articles. Typically, blog authors compose their articles in a web-based interface, built into the blogging system itself. Most blogs have a method to allow visitors to leave comments. There are also nifty ways for authors of other blogs to leave comments without even visiting the blog. WordPress is one such advanced blogging tool and it provides a rich set of features. Through its administration panels, you can set options for the behavior and presentation of your weblog. WordPress goes to great pains to see that your blog posts look good, the text looks beautiful, and the html code it generates conforms to web standards.
A blog is also a good way to keep track of articles on a site. A lot of blogs feature an archive based on dates (like a monthly or yearly archive). The front page of a blog may feature a calendar of dates linked to daily archives. Archives can also be based on categories featuring all the articles related to a specific category. A blog is also a good way to keep track of articles on a site. This highly interactive feature allows users to comment upon article posts and link to your posts and comment on and recommend them. We'll also discuss how to moderate and manage comments and how to deal with the annoying trend in "comment spam", when unwanted comments are posted to your blog.

Here is a nice little acronym on blog that will help you to remember what blogging is all about.
B - Best friend. Get to know people, Make friends.
L - Learn. Want your blog to succeed you have to learn. Learn from the best.
O - Officious. Become a guru. Build up credibility.
G - Give. Blogging and social networking is all about giving rather than taking.

Week 8 - Effects of Media on our Lives

In a decade or two, media is grown to a huge level. Now there's not a single thing where media cannot reach. Media and technology in just a few time has done an impressive job. Now a days media, technology, etc. are part of our lives. We can say it is somehow impossible to live without them for today's generation. It provides a lot of comfort to the society. Well, even comfort somewhere has it's own deficiencies and disadvantages. Now, people can directly view those things which can't be imagine by a normal person two centuries ago. We are on moon now. We have achieved very delightful prospects of science now. A thing which is called as "Machine" today has changed our life on total basis. It has made life easy and in some way dull for us.

Media with his own very graceful looking advantages has done a magnificent work for us all. Now, we can say on our world that nothing is impossible. Media now has become a business more than anything. Good or bad? it doesn't worth, at least for them. When there's a new controversy around someone, even if it's too personal to go on with but if you're a face of which is known by a great deal of people, your personal life is not personal anymore. You're then just more than anything to yourself. There are both good and bad effects of media on our lives. So, we should be optimistic but yet concerned. Media should think about what they are doing these days. how the lives effect from some stupid mistakes. but we should also thank them for giving such good pleasures for our selves also.

Week 7 - Rain! Rain! Go Away! Come Again in another day :)

What to do in rainy days?? Hmm. Let me think. We've all had those long and dreary days, filled with miserable rain outside. Well, rainy days may ruin some cheerful plans of outside activities, but it doesn't have to be dull, boring, or frustrating inside. Whenever you have the chance, stock up on board games, surfing in the internet, play online games, watch TV, do a homework's or projects or whatever you like. Whatever you do, if you make some advance preparations, the next rainy day at your house is sure to be something more than just another dull and dreary day. But when there's a rain all day, cancel all trips or classes and just enjoy what's available in your immediate vicinity. Then what I mean is hot food available around the street corners or right at the doorstep of your neighbor. And stay safe inside in your house and watch TV for some important news about the weather.
Many children wants a rainy day because sometimes they don't have a classes and they do want what they do. When stormy or rainy days, I only do is texting or messaging my classmates to know if we don't have a classes, do a homework's, review for the quizzes or exams, and to rest. We do not watch news in our TV because we don't have a cable or antenna in our apartment but next time we will buy antenna for we can watch news. Like on Monday and Tuesday, there is a storm name "Gener". I also wake up earlier in the morning to wash, to eat and to attend classes and then when I know the news that there is no classes because of the new storm "Gener" I feel like "WHAT? Really". We don't know if there is a storm sometimes so be alert or watch news everyday for the safety.
